Can crypto, blockchain and artificial intelligence coexist?

The whole globe has acclimatised itself to the advanced technological development. Crypto, blockchain, AI and others are among the most popular technologies expected to shape the future. However, the rise of artificial intelligence [AI] has received a lot of attention recently. AI tokens in the cryptocurrency industry reaped the benefits of the technology’s popularity.

AI tokens like Fetch AI [FET] and SingularityNET [AGIX] was seen with triple digit gains. Over the last 30 days, AGIX has increased by 591.5%. FET also echoed this sentiment as it surged 207%. It should be noted that none of the assets in the coveted top 10 witnessed growth of this magnitude.

However, the sudden pump experienced by these AI tokens comes with a huge risk of volatility. For example, after a rally, FET was down 15% in the last 24 hours and was trading at $0.472. AGIX also endured a daily decline of 23.6% while trading around $0.447.

This further spurred the community to suggest that AI tokens were to be pumped and dumped.

However, a few others were positive about the impact of AI on crypto and blockchain technology.

Is AI the catalyst for the next crypto bull run?

The ongoing collection of AI tokens is proof enough that society is leaning towards these assets. Many believe that AI is a potential risk for certain jobs. This can also be the case for crypto.

Although the chances are remote, some believe AI could start the next bull run. Considering the ongoing rally, one Twitter user said,

There were also naysayers.

Furthermore, the use cases of AI have no limits. While a majority of them do not want to combine these technologies, a few others highlighted how crypto, blockchain and artificial intelligence could thrive together.

AI has been used to predict and execute profitable trades for investors who are still at the beginner or intermediate level. However, the fate of AI crypto-assets is questionable as they may succumb after the hype around this technology subsides.
