FinTech Connect 2022 confirms Startup Launch Pad and premiere of “Fintech For Good” documentary

FinTech Connect 2022 unveils its Startup Launch Pad and ‘FinTech For Good’ documentary ahead of the industry gathering.

The fintech event returns on an in-person basis next week at London Excellent Center. FinTech Connect 2022 runs from November 30 to December 1 and brings together 3,000 industry experts with the latest innovations.

Topics include the metaverse, digital transformation, web 3.0, open banking, the impact of artificial intelligence (AI), crypto and decentralized finance (DeFi).

Attendees will hear market insights and perspectives from more than 120 speakers in over 70 sessions, keynote panel discussions and interactive debates. The agenda also includes 30 dedicated technology demos, showcasing the latest transformational solutions reshaping the global payments landscape.

The event’s sponsors include Discover the global network, JP Morgan, Finaro, FIS Worldpay, Polymesh, Jumio, Enfus and Enkata.

In preparation, the event has announced the launch of both a startup ramp and the documentary “FinTech For Good”.

Startup LaunchPad

This year’s event recognizes the role of startups in the growth of the ecosystem, and includes the Startup Launch Pad stage. The stage will run on both days of the event.

With CEOs and founders, included Greenomy, Grape and Allegiance, the stage will showcase the industry’s socio-economic and technological trends. Topics include ESG goals, fintech in humanitarian aid and the future of data sharing.

The stage will host Alex Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for Ukraine on December 1. Under ‘Digitisation during the war’, Bornyakov plans to outline how digital technologies have helped the country in the midst of the Russian invasion.

The stage also hosts FINTECH circleits pitching competition. The competition will see five start-ups pitch innovative proposals to a panel of angel investor judges. The pitching companies are:

  • FXGuard – an F/X risk mitigation service
  • Seccl tech – a custodian and provider of investment technology;
  • Unmai – a “better AI platform”;
  • Kyp.io – a know-your-customer (KYC) risk intelligence platform;
  • 21e6.io – a Swiss investment advisor.

This is followed by a five-minute Q&A where they are grilled by judges. Judges include Carol HaghFTSE Non-Executive Director at Chesnara, Michael Mellinghoffjudge FINTECH Circle and Fintech Germany Assign, Techfluence Great Britain and Brendan Bradleychairman of the board i iPushPull.

“Fintech for Good” documentary

FinTech Connect 2022 will show the premiere of the “FinTech For Good” documentary, produced by FINTECH Circle and ITN Business.

The documentary will shine a spotlight on industrial innovations that make positive changes in people’s lives.

It contains contributions from Dan Andrews of Velocity, Peter Michel Heilmann of Real time, Antony Green of Policy Expert and Gilbert Value of Quant.
