Find NFT mints with Gem 💎
Metaversal is one Bankless newsletter for weekly levels on NFTs, virtual worlds and collectibles
Dear Bankless Nation,
Gem is an NFT marketplace aggregator.
The platform has helped pioneers to “sweep” or buy NFTs across multiple marketplaces simultaneously.
But did you know that Gem also offers one Live coins dashboard, which makes real-time discovery and impact around ongoing NFT a breeze?
It’s a great resource to add to your NFT toolbox, so let’s get you up to speed on the basics of using this dashboard for today’s post!

Right now, Gem offers three main sites: Send, for batch transfer of NFTs, Sell, for listing NFTs for sale across multiple marketplaces, and Discoverto find trending collections, new contests and more.
Within the Discovery section, you can go to the Live Mints dashboard by clicking on 🌱 Mints button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can navigate directly to the dashboard with your browser by going to gem.xyz/mints.
Once you’re on the dashboard, you have different ways to sort the real-time data flowing in.
For example, you can use the search field to look for a specific new collection by address or name. There is also a filter menu that you can use to look through new collections per All, Mintable, Free Mints, and Paid Mints options.
More importantly, you can also sort new coins by time using 24H, 6H, 1H, 30m, 15m, and 5 m buttons at the top of the Mints dashboard.
When you click through these options, the Mints statistics hub will show you exactly how many NFTs were minted during these time frames and activity trendlines to visualize recent coin flows on a project-by-project basis. These trend lines are great for getting an immediate sense of whether the coins are slowing down or picking up steam.
In addition, this main statistics hub also displays useful information such as Top wallets (OpenSea verified accounts or “top profit wallets”), coin and floor pricesnumber and percentage of unique coinsand total mintage + total offer.
Gem optimizes for real-time data rather than curating by collection quality in the Mints dashboard, so just because a project shows up in this hub doesn’t mean it’s worth minting. Many you see will be low quality bets and will amount to nothing. Nevertheless if you do find a compelling project that’s open and you like, just tap the purple one Mint button to continue.
If the project allows you to create multiple NFTs at once, Gem will let you enter as many as you want, otherwise you can usually create one NFT at a time.
Gem will then ask you to click a box indicating that you understand that you are interacting with an external third-party smart contract, after which you can press Mint again and complete the transaction with your wallet. Boom, when that’s done you have your newly discovered NFT(s)!
Want to try it yourself? Built by the team at zero.fun, Prometheans is a free onchain game with an ongoing open drop. The project looks interesting and right now you can find it on Gem if you want to give the Mints dashboard a spin first hand with a free mint.
I’ll go back and reiterate that a lot of things you’ll find in the Mints dashboard will be low-quality projects that aren’t worth your time. That’s just the reality of the sheer volume of NFT collections being released every day.
That said, every now and then this dashboard can help you find neat bets like Prometheans, so it’s a great discovery resource for NFTers to get their hands on.
Zooming out, Gem is on the verge of releasing its V2 infra, so look for potential additions and advancements to the Mints dashboard system when that release happens!
