Drivn launches Blockchain ecosystem to support sustainable travel

November 15, 2022 – Copenhagen, Denmark

The Web 3.0 project Drivn has launched an NFT as part of the work to support sustainable travel. NFT is part of Drivn’s ecosystem to drive sustainable behavioral change.

Drivn is on a mission to incentivize low-carbon travel by using tokenization to reward more sustainable choices. These include cycling, driving an electric car or using an e-scooter. People who choose to make less carbon-intensive travel choices will be eligible for rewards.

Transport has a significant impact on sustainability, health, inequality and climate change. Decisions made by one person can have a large and far-reaching impact on others.

Changing this behavior is a difficult task, but the Drivn team believes blockchain is an ideal mechanism to “nudge” people to make greener choices.

Drivn’s vision is to build a financial ecosystem for the sustainable transport market. Within this world, riding a bicycle or driving an electric car can provide anyone with an income.

Sebastian Herche, founder and CTO of Drivn, said:

“Drivn uses a number of methods – including NFTs and utility tokens – to stimulate the use of sustainable means of transport. Drive is a movement for those who are driven to make our planet a cleaner, safer and better place.

“We help build the transport infrastructure for new smart cities where sustainable travel is encouraged. Through intelligent behavior change measures, we can guide users towards using low-carbon travel modes. We feel this is a big step towards a better future.”
