Black Ink Tech is transforming the construction industry with blockchain technology
SiteSUPER, a patented hardware and software technology, uses blockchain solutions to make the construction industry safer
CHARLESTON, SC, 2 November 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Today, Black Ink Technologies Corp., an integrated hardware and software company that provides end-to-end zero-trust immutable solutions for products and services, announced that the company has been awarded five different patents for technologies that make the construction industry safer.
Traditionally, construction has been seen as insecure and slow to transform digitally. By embracing and using blockchain technology, Black Ink Tech has created hardware and software systems that streamline the management of projects from start to finish to create added simplicity and security.
The awarded patents allow SiteSUPER, a technology operating on the Black Ink Tech platform, to work together to speed up daily construction processes, reduce fraud and achieve maximum project efficiency.
SiteSUPER’s software takes in data from everything that goes in and out of a project and job site and stores the data on the blockchain. This allows SiteSUPER to pair non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with real-world assets, creating an immutable record that can verify compliance before a product is installed, providing transparency and ensuring building code compliance.
Additionally, these immutable symbols capture the weather conditions during product installations, verifications of who performed the installation, a record of the unique identifier of the products installed and when the installation occurred, ensuring warranty compliance and compliance. And verified biometric identification, together with the licensing association, creates an indisputable record of who worked, where they worked, when they worked and what they worked on.
Although licenses, products used and insurance are common targets for fraud or misrepresentation, this immutable information ensures that the correct material was installed by the correct licensed contractor, a warranty can be issued for the correct product, and that those who claim to have worked with one project actually did.
Included below is the list of granted patents that allow SiteSUPER and Black Ink Tech to create an unalterable record of events on a construction site:
- Using blockchain-based distributed ledger and smart contracts for a construction project
- Using blockchain-based distributed ledger to reference construction metadata and to use smart contracts for a construction project
- Code compliance management and verification system
- System for handling warranty information for projects and materials
- Digital asset systems for managing projects and materials
“If you’ve spent time around a construction site, you know that work can be delayed, uncertain and logistically challenging. Often the reason for this is that the construction industry has been slow to embrace new technologies that can help improve the many systems and processes that needed to bring a project to life,” said Jeremy Blackburn, CEO of Black Ink Tech. “But these patents are emblematic of the possibilities of blockchain and how it can be used to improve an industry poised to embrace its own digital transformation.”
