In the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning, the prices of most cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), rose, while the forked version of Ethereum (ETHW) was the most popular crypto.
The global crypto market cap increased by 3.44 percent to $940.12 billion. However, overall crypto market volume rose 7.75 percent to $75.19 billion, as of 8:30 a.m., according to Coinmarketcap data.
The biggest winner was ApeCoin (APE). It was up 17.18 percent to $5.82. The biggest loser was UNUS SED LEO (LEO), down 0.83 percent to $4.68. The most popular crypto was ETHPoW (ETHW).
Cryptocurrency prices
Bitcoin: BTC rose 3.59 percent to $19,467.96.
BTC traded in losses for most of September 19, with the price hovering around the $18,400 levels. But right around 19:09 BTC started to climb upwards and within an hour it crossed the $19,000 mark and then went higher. Currently, BTC is trading at its highest price level of the day.
Its intraday low was $18,390.32, while volume was up 14.84 percent to $38,579,215,531.
Ethereum: Ethereum’s the price rose 4.74 percent to $1,365.71 in the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning.
ETH was trading at a loss ever since the day of the merger (September 15th), and today is the first day since the merger that ETH is trading at a gain. Like BTC, ETH also experienced a price increase right around 19:04 on September 19, and as a result the price rose from $1,298 to $1,368 within an hour.
The lowest price for ETH today was $1,287.42. ETH trading volume fell by 0.68 percent to $17,305,565,114.
Other Altcoins: Solana’s (SOL) price rose 5.76 percent to $32.47 today.
Ripple (XRP) rose 9.88 percent to $0.3769 and 24-hour trading volume was up 2.04 percent to $2,646,678,442.
Cardano (ADA) rose 2.83 percent to $0.4501. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume fell 5.51 percent to $710,763,672.
Binance (BNB) was up 3.02 percent at $270.39. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 20.92 percent to $1,032,902,145.
Meme Coins
Dogecoin (DOGE) was up 2.71 percent at $0.0585. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 7.76 percent to $269,507,685.
Shiba Inu was up 1.79 percent to $0.00001093.
Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
Yearn.Finance (YFI) rose 2.92 percent to $8,494.43. Its 24-hour trading volume was down 12.98 percent to $49,632,443.
Avalanche (AVAX) was up 3.49 percent at $17.23 and 24-hour trading volume was up 2.4 percent at $364,156,432.
Aave (AAVE) traded up 6.64 percent to $76.42, and 24-hour trading volume rose 4.99 percent to $134,736,117.
