Rumble Monkeys, MMA enters the Blockchain

MMA Futures has partnered with several professionals in the martial arts industry to bring you an innovative look at WEB3 and NFTs. Through the purchase of The Rumble Monkeys NFT project, it opens the doors to a whole new way of looking at MMA.

For those unfamiliar with WEB3 and NFTs, I’ll give you a quick overview. WEB3 is essentially the next iteration of the web, it’s about security, anonymity and verifiability, and all of this is done through the blockchain. When it comes to security, you have 100% control over all your web3 resources. For example, if you own a site like MMAFutures.com, you don’t actually own that site, you pay a service to use their domain, in web3 if you “coin” say MMAFutures.Sol that’s yours it’s stored in your wallet and no one can take it from you. And because of the way blockchain technology works, you never have to tell anyone your name or address, and all exchanges go through your verified wallet, which only you have access to. And verifiability, let’s be honest, anything can be faked or duplicated, but let’s say your friend is an artist and releases an artwork as a NFT. The particular artwork has a blockchain ID that says this is the original, the artwork can be duplicated, but the ID of the original can never be changed. Okay, that was a lot and a very short overview, let’s get down to the fun part, Rumble Monkeys.

Rumble Monkeys is a Solana NFT project on the Solana blockchain, Solana is a cryptocurrency with low transaction fees, therefore many NFT enthusiasts have gravitated towards it. The Rumble Monkeys are a set of 3333 martial arts themed monkeys and their goal is to become the martial arts brand in Web3. Currently, under new ownership, the project has released some things that they offer to people who have their NFTs. The first thing they released was their “Rumble of the Day Picks”, they work with a few people to come up with some of the best picks for their holders to bet on. They also recently released their own Utility Token, think of this as in-game currency and you can earn it by unlocking your NFT for a given period of time. Currently their token $TKO can only be used on their marketplace to buy other NFTs, but they promise other online things you’ll be able to buy with it along with real things too, maybe MMA Futures PPVs? Honestly, the usefulness of their token is only limited by what they are willing to do. The other thing they’ve hinted at is fighter jet partnerships, and promotions, I can definitely see some interesting things there as well.
