Cross-Border Social Fintech “Changera” Announces Relaunch with New Features

Cross-border social fintech “Changera” has announced a relaunch of its product with new features including virtual domiciliary bank accounts as well as an overhaul of its brand identity.

​​The update which is in line with the fintech’s strategy to make money unlimited and borderless for Africans globally, will enable Changera users to easily upgrade their account to either a freelancer or premium subscription plan and easily access their virtual bank accounts in Euro, Pound and USD on the app to collect or make payments globally.

Among the features the fintech is rolling out is a referral program to reward users with cash whenever their friends transact on the app for as long as three years.

The fintech is also starting a lifestyle-themed online community hosted on the Discord app – “Changers Community” – allowing users to interact with each other and keep up with trending information across sports and entertainment, among other things.

Changera, which also provides working virtual dollar cards with limits in excess of $10,000 and can be funded with local currencies – naira, cedis or Kenyan shillings, announced a new corporate look that updates all branding elements from the logo, to fonts and brand colors.

Commenting on the relaunch, Product Manager, Nana Afua said – “Our relaunch reiterates our commitment to building the ultimate borderless social payment app for Africans.

This represents months of work, and Changera users can now do much more with their money on their app. We have more lined up over the next couple of months, but our users can get started with this for now.”

We also now serve a wider range of users – remote workers and freelancers, SMEs and African migrants – through our virtual accounts that come with dollar cards. What’s unique here is that our users don’t have to go through strict KYC, stand in line at a bank or get a judge to open a domiciliary account or get a dollar card, they can do that in minutes on our app.
