Dented feels about releasing “Dented Dreams” NFTTrait customization
Dented Feels, an artist-based and emotion-driven NFT PFP project, announced the upcoming launch of a proprietary NFT property customization that will hand over the keys to art generation to collectors, while allowing them to own the original NFT and all tradeable artwork.
The build, Dented Dreams, will set the stage for the expansion of the Genesis NFT collection with Mood Swings Volume 1, giving collectors the opportunity to own several properties – “Mood Swings” – created by the artist, released for free, to combine them with some dented feels NFT.
Dented Feels, a project centered around emotional intelligence, differs from other PFP projects and now speaks directly to those collectors who identify with the NFTs and want to be able to develop their collection in a way that continuously reflects themselves and their changing mood. and states of being.
This concept was inspired by the question of whether an artist could expand an NFT collection
by dropping “moves” instead of full PFPs – and what about those properties, created through smart contract
technology, can then be applied to the original art and regenerated with the desired properties
attached?
“The key to this construction is the ability to take a generative collection that was not designed for customization and then reuse it so that it can be deconstructed later without destroying the original token. Doing this will build interest in the Genesis collection, by adding value to the art and project ecosystem, by creating a new way to interact with your personal art collection,” said Dentin Garrett, the artist and founder behind Dented Feels.
With large collections like Dented Feels already in high demand, “dropping another 11,000 collections only spares the first collection, as well as the holders of that collection, because the new NFTs do not directly add value back to the first Genesis Collection.”
“My favorite part of the creative process for generative art collections is exploring property combinations, finding beautiful visual metaphors that can be locked with certain combinations of properties. When the genesis collection was released, the exploratory process ended. The final combinations are now locked. This new the technology is designed to hand over the keys to art generation to the collectors, allowing literally billions of potential visual metaphors to be unlocked,” shared Dentin.
By building out the expansion in this way, Dented Feels can ensure that “the original artwork remains yours, and you will own each new piece you combine with it. You can sell it as one unified piece. You can deconstruct it and reconstruct it with multiple parts to collect in the future. You can now collect and trade art from an artist, where that artist actively and continuously creates meaningful properties that you can collect and combine in your own ways.”
Dentin continued that “Dented Feels is more than an art project, it’s a story – a story of an artist’s triumph over greed that unfolded in real time. This expansion was designed to be true to the narrative that lives at the core of the Dented Feels collection – I had Dented Feels when my dreams were crushed and stolen. By channeling all the mood swings I went through to complete that Genesis collection, I was able to achieve my Dented Dream. Now the collectors who hold Dented Feels will be able to use Mood Swings for to create their very own Dented Dreams.”
The official release of NFTs is scheduled for September. The first drop of Mood Swing’s “trade packs” will be first editions released for free and available via pre-order in the Dented Feels Reward Shop, a virtual store where collectors redeem Feels points.
