But the biggest news from Moonbirds is the launch of their new reward token, Talons, which will replace the need for nesting in their ecosystem. Moonbirds, a popular NFT project, recently hosted a Parliament Room to share updates on upcoming events and the new reward token, Talons. The diamond exhibition, which will showcase art from 22 different artists, will begin on April 27. Day 1 cards will be awarded to Moonbirds members who nested in the first 24 hours, giving them a head start on choosing their favorite artwork and submitting a rank order.

In addition to the Diamond Exhibition, Moonbirds also unveiled Mythics Eggs, which have three levels of rarity: Legendary, Runic, and Stone. Each egg gives different artistic choices, and if you claim an egg within the first week, there is a 60 percent chance that it will be legendary. Also, each claim affects the entire collection, as holders can choose one of three Mythic designs, while the other two designs will never be available for minting again.

However, the biggest news from Moonbirds is the launch of their new reward token, Talons. Talons will be a reward point system that will replace the need for nesting in the Moonbirds ecosystem. Founder Kevin Rose compared Talons to credit card rewards points, which will be earned daily for holding a Moonbird’s NFT. This move likely signals a shift away from a PROOF ecosystem token, which was previously expected. Other projects such as Kanpai Pandas and y00ts have leaned into “ecosystem points” rather than tokens, perhaps to avoid regulatory uncertainty, and it appears that PROOF has followed suit.

Talons will be available exclusively to Moonbirds holders and can be used in their ecosystem to claim art, buy tickets to events and other opportunities the team wants to introduce. Moonbirds also released their first “Moonbirds Short Film” as part of their ongoing efforts to engage with the community.

Despite an initial spike on the back of the Talons announcement, Moonbirds’ project has a floor price of 3.069 ETH on OpenSea. As the NFT ecosystem continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how projects like Moonbirds adapt and innovate to stay ahead.
