Oncyber Unveils GPT Powered Custom Metaverse Worlds – How Does It Work?
Web3 metaverse platform Oncyber has unveiled its AI-powered tool that allows users to customize their virtual environments via text commands.
Called Magic Composer, the new tool is powered by OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 model and uses text messages to implement real-time adjustments to Oncyber’s metaverse platforms, where artists typically showcase their digital assets, or NFTs.
Oncyber is a multiverse for creators that allows them to display their NFTs in fully immersive 3D experiences. Oncyber supports access to NFTs from different wallets and different chains such as Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC) and more.
A teaser video shows that with a line of text entered into Magic Composer, Oncyber can automatically change the appearance and color of the sky, drop in an artist’s NFT work from your connected crypto wallet, customize the look and size of in-world picture frames, and more.
In a recent interview, Oncyber founder and CEO Rayan Boutaleb said this is just the first version of the tool. Boutaleb claimed that the next iterations of the tool would give artists additional power to turn their dreams into a 3D canvas. He said:
“In the next iteration, what we want is for people to transfer any hallucination or dream they have into a 3D canvas and just directly see the result of what they can imagine and change things. It’s a first step towards a very big end result, which we are not too far away from.”
Boutaleb claimed that they adopted AI technologies to find another way to help users unlock their creativity on the platform. There is a disconnect between the power of Oncyber’s game-like engine and the visual user interface, he added.
More robust AI functionality is on the horizon as well. Boutaleb said he eventually hopes to add more complex generative features, such as the ability to generate custom or modified 3D architecture simply by typing out a request. Over time, Oncyber’s goal is to have “less and less limits/boundaries” for users, he added.
In a recent tweet, Oncyber asked interested users to join the waiting list for a beta experience and start testing the product as soon as Monday, March 20. However, Boutaleb said it won’t be long before Magic Composer reaches public users.
Crypto projects integrate AI to improve user experience
Aside from Oncyber, a number of other crypto and Web3 projects have integrated AI technologies into their services and products in an effort to improve user experience.
As reported, AI-powered Web3-focused search engine Kaito raised $5.3 million in a fundraising round earlier this year in an effort to increase the size of its team and accelerate product development.
Similarly, the American exchange PayBito has announced its intentions to integrate ChatGPT to improve market analysis, fully identify future trends and open even more to new trading opportunities.
“The integration of ChatGPT will add value and enhance the user experience. The AI-based tool will enable merchants to make informed decisions with accurate information,” Raj Chowdhury, CEO of PayBito, said at the time.
