Raiders Rumble Rocks onto Flow Blockchain
The player’s first Web3 game studio, Bloxsmithhas launched the beta version of Raiders rumble, an epic squad battler strategy game for mobile devices. The title combines the best of traditional games and blockchain games, allowing both Web2 and Web3 players to participate in PvP tournaments and win amazing prizes.
Starting March 13, Raiders Rumble is available on both the Google Play Store and the App Store. Players can join both marketplaces and download it to start participating in different matches. Interestingly, players don’t need a crypto wallet or to buy NFTs to get involved.
Raiders Rumble comes in as a skill-based, fast-paced game that can be played in short sessions. Players collect time-displaced fighters/raiders to participate in battles, requiring a strategic and tactical approach to build the optimal roster of raiders. To gain an edge in the game, players can improve their fighters by using weapons and armor, thus increasing the number of combos they can engage in.
Additionally, NFTs are not required to unlock in-game features, but collectors will find them valuable depending on their rarity and uniqueness.
Raiders Rumble Bridges Web2 and Web3 Gaming
With Raiders Rumble, Bloxsmith aims to bridge the gap between Web3 and Web3 games. This sentiment is shared by Wayne Lee, co-founder and CEO of Bloxsmith. In a statement he notes,
“For our first game, we wanted to pioneer a new type of competitive mobile strategy game that would help bridge the gap between traditional and Web3 players. We’re excited to work with the Flow blockchain – it solves the scalability problem for games and digital collectibles. With frictionless onboarding, social logins and familiar payment methods, Flow is built from the ground up to make it easier for ordinary users and brands to transition from Web2 to Web3.”
Thanks to its easy accessibility on mobile devices, Raiders Rumble is designed to appeal to the masses. As such, it has partnered with Flow Blockchain to which it resides motivate players by organizing a series of tournaments where players will fight for the title of top strategist. The tournaments will take place between March 23 and March 31, and top performers will receive a share of a massive prize pool of $120,000 FLOW tokens.
Rocking and Rolling on Flow Network
The game itself runs on the Flow blockchain, a high-performance EVM-compatible blockchain. Chief Product Officer, Chirag Narang is quite excited about working with Bloxsmith to bring this amazing title. In a statement he notes,
