Amazon NFT Marketplace launches next month

The e-commerce giant is actively working to create a digital marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) while also conducting exploratory studies of the technology underlying blockchains.

Back in January, the cryptocurrency news Blockworks published an article that the largest e-commerce in the world was going to create a digital asset venture that would involve NFTs.

A report from TheBigWhale says Amazon is set to launch its NFT marketplace on April 24.

About Amazon NFT Marketplace

The Amazon NFT Marketplace will focus on linking NFTs to real-world assets. Reports from Blockworks indicate that customers will soon be able to purchase NFTs through the platform and have them delivered to their doorstep.

The digital marketplace will be called “Amazon Digital Marketplace,” and according to sources, it will initially offer access to around fifteen collections. Initially, the platform will only be available in the US, but it will gradually be opened to the rest of the world, including Europe.

Amazon’s entry into the NFT space is significant because it brings mainstream attention to this burgeoning market. The move also highlights the growing use of blockchain technology, which is the underlying technology that enables NFTs.

Avalanche (AVAX)

AVAX native token may increase in value when Amazon’s NFT marketplace launches. Due to its previous collaboration with AWS, Avalanche became the first Layer 1 blockchain to work with the company in mid-January. The move was primarily praised as a plan to accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology by businesses and governments.
