“Essentials” is an artwork by VESA about basic well-being. The Flower of Life pattern is a fundamental building block of the material universe, and our bodies are 60% water. Modern stress levels are epidemic, so filling our digital spaces with things that bring us comfort feels valuable. The soundtrack is by pioneering web3 musician Qvantvm. Music NFTs are believed to be the next big thing, and in the VESA ecosystem, there is one musician above the rest when it comes to creating transformative, transcendent soundscapes that are the perfect match for VESA’s work. We are celebrating our collaboration with Qvantvm and maybe there will be many more ☀️

The work was curated for Nifty Gateway with NFT collector and the drop consists of two versions; motion NFT as an open edition and 1/1 NFT which comes with 1/3 physical acrylic print. The physical work has an AR element and a Bitcoin certification through the Artivive App. Both versions are available via fiat or crypto.

MUSURE x VESA sneakers in Metaverse

The seed of another interesting project was already sown many years ago, when VESA attended an art gallery opening in the metaverse. It was an exciting evening with colleagues and enthusiasts, and everyone participated as their avatars. Many of the people there had already jumped on the trend of digital items, sporting fashion, accessories and extravagant extensions. Someone walked by with an 80s-style boombox as a head, and another had replaced a once boring arm with a rocket ship.
VESA entered the room, his name visible above his cane body, completely naked. At that moment he understood the looming social change coming up in the room. At that moment, it was clear that digital goods are going to become popular for the same reasons they became popular in the real world.
This experience still in his mind, VESA was curious when the digital creative Tano approached him and proposed a collaboration to produce digital sneakers. The partnership was sealed, and now the result has launched as part of MUSURE world, an interactive, gamified ecosystem where everyone is a creator and your avatar can wear custom sneakers. What makes the sneakers pop into the world of MUSURE are magical eggs called Origin Eggs. Putting the egg into the sneaker will activate the skins to come alive and make the sneaker collectable, equipped and evolved.
Since it’s only been a few days since Art Dubai, where VESA was an exhibiting artist for the second year in a row, it’s easy to see that a lot of digital art and NFTs reflect our hectic surroundings.
Our work cultures, society at large, our media, all seem to be in a state of compressed frenzy with little peace and quiet. This is still the aesthetic of much digital art, where glitching and electrical static are a common expression.
