Defybirds: How can you get the new NFTs?
Moonbirds are making headlines this week thanks to their latest NFT collaboration with Des Lucréce, the famed digital artist behind Monsters. Their new collection, entitled Defybirds, consists of 3,000 digital avatars that basically combine the two projects’ signature styles. From horns to flames and stunning colors, the pixelated Moonbirds as we know them take on a new form.
These unique digital assets are available to Moonbirds, Nudebirds and select Des Lucréce NFT holders. The team at Moonbirds already took a snapshot of the current Nudebirds holders on March 8th and they will be reviewed.
At the time of writing, neither party confirmed the exact time of the collection drop. However, Moonbirds is warning their community about scams since they “had already seen a few on Twitter.”
What are Moonbirds?
Moonbirds is a collection of 10K pixelated owl NFT avatars built on Ethereum. The project comes from the Proof Collective, a private community of 1000 experienced NFT artists and investors.
As an NFT holder, you can stake your collectible in the project’s ecosystem – a process known as “nesting”. This option gives you extra benefits, but you won’t be able to trade it while the owl is nesting.
Thanks to this exciting concept and high-quality artwork, The PFPs increased in popularity immediately after launch. The project currently has over 275K ETH in trading volume on OpenSea with a floor price of 6.1 ETH.
