Bitcoin Up 1.22%, Ethereum Rises 1.55%

The global cryptocurrency market rose 1.43 percent on Thursday morning, clawing back losses from yesterday to reach $1.11 trillion. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum increased in value
It was a bullish day for the crypto market on February 23, 2023 after a day of losses. Bitcoin, Solana, Binance and Ethereum traded in gains.
The global cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $1.11 trillion at 11 a.m. IST, up 1.43 percent from the previous day, according to data from coinmarket.com.
Total crypto market volume fell by 11.20 percent to $61.12 billion in the last 24 hours.
The most popular crypto was Blur (BLUR), for the second day in a row, but the biggest gainer of the day was Stacks (STX), up 27.19 percent to $0.8312. The biggest loser was Filecoin (FIL), down 8.47 percent to $8.04.
Cryptocurrency prices
Bitcoin: The price of Bitcoin rose by 1.22 percent to $24,388.68. After a brief halt yesterday, Bitcoin continued its rapid rise from last week. Bitcoin’s price rose from $24,071 to $25,572 in a four-hour period from 4:20 am IST on Thursday. Trading volume fell 11.75 percent to $29.09 billion over 24 hours.
Ethereum: ETH’s price rose 1.55 percent to $1,664.75. The rapid rise in ETH that started at 15:15 stopped yesterday at 19:40, when the price fell from $1,638 to $1,605 in three hours. ETH recovered from its losses at 4.40 am IST on Thursday as prices rose from $1640 to $1674 in four hours.
The lowest price for ETH was $1,604.80. ETH’s trading volume decreased by 1.60 percent to $9.13 billion.
Other Altcoins
Solana (SOL) was up 1.71 percent at $24.43.
In its 24-hour trade, Ripple’s (XRP) price was up 1.79 percent to $0.3967, although trading volume fell 0.34 percent.
Cardano (ADA) was up 1.62 percent at $0.3918. After a fall of 12.67 percent, the 24-hour trading volume reached $356 million.
Binance (BNB) rose 1.98 percent to $313.03. Its 24-hour trading volume was down 14.73 percent to $507.3 million.
Meme Coins
Dogecoin gained 2.12 percent to $0.08617, and 24-hour trading volume increased by 47.46 percent.
Shiba Inu was up 5.72 percent to $0.00001355.
Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
Yearn.Finance (YFI) surged 16.50 percent, as 24-hour trading volume surged 50.81 percent.
Avalanche (AVAX) fell 1.15 percent to $20.66, and 24-hour trading volume fell 12.56 percent.
Aave (AAVE) traded up 1.56 percent to $87.06.
