Bitcoin Loses 1.36%, Ethereum Falls 0.60%, Doge Falls 1.17%

The global crypto market fell back on Monday, February 20, 2023, after a bullish trend that lasted several days in a row, as Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH) and other altcoins fell.

The market stood at $1.12 trillion, down 0.62 percent from the previous day, at 11 am IST on Monday, according to coinmarket.com. Volume rose 51.96 percent to $63.07 billion in the last 24 hours.

The most popular crypto was Blur (BLUR), but the biggest gainer for the day was Stacks (STX), up 60.07 percent to $0.6812. Conversely, the biggest loser was Render Token (RNDR), down 7.34 percent to $1.71.

Cryptocurrency prices

Bitcoin: BTC fell 1.36 percent to $24,443.83. Bitcoin briefly entered the green zone at around 19:50 IST on February 19. It started falling at 5.50 am IST on Monday. The price fell from $24,411 to $23,946 in the last 24 hours. However, trading volume was up from $25.89 billion to $26.67 billion.

Ethereum: ETH’s price fell 0.60 percent to $1,689.15. The ETH price briefly edged into the green at 19:50 IST on Sunday after trading in the red for a long time. After three hours it slipped back into the minus. A four-hour price drop from $1718 to $1673 occurred from 9:55 PM IST on Sunday. The trading volume level rose from $5.96 billion to $6.55 billion.

The lowest price for ETH was $1,659.30. ETH’s trading volume increased by 49.91 percent to $7.7 billion.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) was up 11.74 percent to $26.11.

In 24-hour trading, Ripple’s (XRP) price fell 0.63 percent to $0.3901, even as trading volume rose 73.20 percent.

Cardano (ADA) fell 0.12 percent to $0.4026. After an increase of 25.19 percent, the 24-hour trading volume reached $381 million.

Binance (BNB) rose 0.15 percent to $316. Its 24-hour trading volume rose 13.47 percent to $541.9 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin fell 1.17 percent to $0.08773, and 24-hour trading volume rose 42.07 percent.

Shiba Inu was up 1.74 percent to $0.00001349.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) fell 0.86 percent, even as 24-hour trading volume rose 14.35 percent.

Avalanche (AVAX) rose 1.52 percent to $19.89, and 24-hour trading volume rose 111 percent.

Aave (AAVE) traded down 0.73 percent to $89.99.
