  1. Employees at Denver’s Cerebral Brewing get paid time off to vote. This brewery is giving its employees up to two hours off this year to research issues and candidates and submit the ballot. Brewery owner Sean Buchan said the company began the practice two years ago during the 2020 presidential election as an employee benefit. (9 News)
  2. Of more than 25,000 rental units in Denver, less than 300 have applied for permits. Starting in January, all landlords with more than one rental unit must have a permit from the City of Denver. The problem is that only a small handful have complied so far. (denverite)
  3. To expand the use of electric cars, the states must step up. With historic federal legislation laying the groundwork for the transformation of the U.S. transportation sector, states will need to provide the network to provide charging options for all of these vehicles that will eventually hit the road.   4. Denver NFT scammer busted, must pay back $275,000. Tyler Gaye allegedly took money from investors to buy Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT), but instead of breaking them on the deal, Gaye took the money and ran. Last Friday, a Denver judge entered a default judgment against Gaye for $275,000 after he failed to respond to the lawsuit. (Local today)
  5. Risk factors for wildfires are increasing as the region moves into a possible dry and windy winter. Fire experts are preparing for the worst this winter, using last December’s Marshall Fire as a benchmark. (FOX31)
